After a rough start last week, I finally conquered my speed run today! This time, I made sure to eat a light snack and drink plenty of water beforehand. Lesson learned.
Last week, I attempted this same run but had to stop midway. Coming off a flu and running on an empty stomach? Not the best combo. I felt lightheaded and had to sit it out. Instead of pushing through recklessly, I decided to restart my Nike Run Club beginner plan. I spent the past week easing in with slow runs, focusing on consistency rather than speed.
And today? It paid off. I felt stronger, more in control, and finished my run without issues. Here's what today's workout looked like:
- Distance: 1.25 miles
- Time: 13:30
- Average Pace: 10’45”
It was about showing up better prepared. And honestly? It felt great.
